Seeds of Identity – 31 Foods Mexico Gave the World

 
 
Hundreds of plants, flowers and fruits from Mesoamerica form the basis of Mexican gastronomy today. Many of these ingredients also travelled throughout the world and have since been assimilated by the cuisine of other countries. This exhibition describes the flora of Mexico through the voices of the first chroniclers and of curious, astonished travellers providing an introductory guide to those who wonder where certain foods come from
