The traditional art of women artists of Hazaribagh, north Jharkhand. Khovar or comb-cut art is made during the marriage season, a type of sagraffito art using reversed slip pottery technique; and Sohrai a winter harvest art, painted as a ritual thanksgiving for a good harvest. This tradition of painting Khovar and Sohrai art is fast vanishing from the village mud house walls
