Villagers who live on the fringe of forests need not be told that forests are their lifeline, for that is their natural home. The film focuses on the concept of joint forest management that brings together villagers and foresters to protect forests

Fuel wood, fruits and vegetables, housing material, fodder, and raw material for manufacturing commercial goods are all sourced from the forests. The film presents five short duration capsules on bamboo, biodiversity, jute and agroforestry
