Their friendship that was first initiated by the contact between their political families before Partition and in the 1950s and 1960s, the bond strengthened in the then new New Delhi. They will share memories of the subsequent decades, of lives which have quite naturally diverged, its vicissitudes, laughter, and an abiding commitment to a secular nation which continues to affirm their lives and friendship
