Dastangoi presented by Mahmood Farooqui, award-winning writer and director best known for reviving Dastangoi

A dastangoi on the painter, S.H. Raza’s journey from a small village in Madhya Pradesh to the pinnacle of international fame. It describes the ferment of the Bombay of the 1940s, the formation of the Progressive Artists Group, Raza’s early days in France, his passionate love for Janine Mongillat, his trilingual love for poetry, and his search for Truth through Hinduism, Islam and Christianity.
