Digital India, on paper, is poised to grow into a global force – it could potentially jump ahead in the new world order in ways unimaginable by the "real" India. The number of internet users in India and China surpasses the aggregate of internet users across 37 of the richest countries combined. This means India could, in principle, be one of the largest repositories of a key ingredient that powers the future: data. But the key question is: can Digital India ever get past the real India?
