An illustrated lecture by Dr. Francesca Morandini, archaeologist and Director, Santa Giulia Museum in Brescia
Dr. Morandini will take viewers on a virtual tour of the Roman city of Brescia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded over 3,200 years ago, Brescia (in antiquity Brixia) has been an important regional centre since pre-Roman times. Its old town contains the best-preserved Roman public buildings in northern Italy and numerous monuments. One of the cities in Italy most severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, the talk is also a tribute to the city and its inhabitants
